From starting out on the Suzuki Method, to diving into the study of Eurythmics in university, as well as learning folk music by ear from fiddle professionals Mark O’Connor and Natalie MacMaster, I’ve experienced first hand how receiving a wide range of technical instruction gives a student a strong foundation on moving forward in their own musical journey. As a professional classical, bluegrass and jazz violinist for the past 20 years, I believe that each student has a different learning style, and it is my job as a teacher to help them achieve all that they can. I balance my lessons by focusing on individual interests and technical work so that my students are getting better overall through what they love doing. I've designed an online curriculum that combines video call lessons and additional recordings that you will have access to as you learn. Whether it's playing a Mozart Sonata or improvising to Billy's Bounce, I would love to help you get your violin playing to where you want it to be!
