Described as "platinum pop of a richly rewarding kind" (Trust the Doc), violinist, vocalist and producer Sloane Monroe mixes her folk and blues roots with electronic sounds from the Alternative Pop scene. Inspired by the songwriting of Maggie Rogers, The 1975, and Bruce Hornsby, Monroe brings bright strings, thick bass lines and a warm soulful voice to her audiences.
Originally from Florence, Massachusetts (USA), at just four years old, Monroe picked up the violin, immersing herself in classical and folk traditions. Though she studied extensively at institutions like New England Conservatory Prep School and Carnegie Mellon, her love for singing developed in an unlikely place—her car. During long, weekly drives to Boston, she trained her voice by mimicking the vocals of Nina Simone, Adele, and Amy Winehouse. Sitting in with bands at contra dances, she learned to pick up tunes by ear. She was inspired to purchase an electric violin and loop pedal when she stumbled upon Andrew Birds ‘Section 8 City’ and thus sparked her journey into song writing and production.
By the time she moved to London to study jazz violin at Guildhall School of Music, Monroe had already begun experimenting with her own sound. Her talents didn’t go unnoticed; after graduating, she was awarded a Global Talent visa by the UK Arts Council, securing her start in the British music industry. Since then, she’s worked with producer Haydn Bendall (Kate Bush, Pat Metheny, Tina Turner) at Abbey Road’s iconic Studio Two and collaborated as a session violinist and arranger for artists like YUNGBLUD, Chinchilla, Oh Wonder and Jamie Campbell Bower and Chaka Khan.
It was London’s vibrant nightclub scene that would shape Monroe’s next evolution. Inspired by the city’s underground electronic scene, she began blending her bluesy songwriting and layered string arrangements with contemporary pop textures. In her shipping container-turned-music studio in East London, she honed her truly authentic sound. Monroe has performed at legendary London venues like Hootenanny, Brixton, The Troubadour, and The Chelsea Physic Garden.
Sloane is currently preparing for her debut EP release ‘Girls in Denim’ due in early 2027.

Inspired by the magic in old Disney songs with production style of Ryan Beatty, ‘if i had a wish…’ is a bittersweet ballad of hope and despair. What if our dreams aren’t what they seem? What if the choices we make come back to haunt us in the future? Self produced and recorded at her home in London, Sloane has created a track that reminds us that that there’s no such thing as control over the future, only the present.
